Feng shui tips can help you organize your outer environment in order to help you achieve your inner intentions and goals in life.
So what is it?
Feng Shui (pronounced fung shway) is the awareness of how the things in your surroundings effect and reflect your inner state.
For example, the dirty socks in the area of your home representing your reputation could be effecting how your co-workers see you.
The ancient Chinese secrets of Feng Shui support the concept that the best way to Organize Life, Inside Out, is to start on the inside.
We all use a type of feng shui whether we are consciously aware of it or not. How organized or unorganized your home and office are is a reflection of your recent and current inner self.
If you were completely satisfied with how organized you are, you wouldn't be reading this. So if you're ready to make some lasting changes, from the inside out, let's start with these basic feng shui tips:
Tip #1: Do an inventory of what's working (and what's not) in your life
In Feng Shui, there are 9 Life Situations
Career and Life Path
Skills and Knowledge
Family
Prosperity
Fame and Reputation
Health
Relationships and Love
Creativity and Children
Healpful People and Travel
We all have life situations which are stronger and weaker at any given time. Take a good look at where you live and work. When you walk into your space, how do you feel? What do you see, hear, and smell? In what path do you travel through your space?
With these questions in mind, take out a piece of paper, and write down all of the things that ARE working for you in your space (i.e. it smells nice, the colors are beautiful, I feel relaxed, etc.). Also note what is going well for you right now in the different life situations listed above.
On another piece of paper, write down all of the things that are NOT working for you in your space (i.e. the garbage can is overflowing and smells, I always trip over dirty socks and shoes on the floor, there's not enough light, etc.). Then note what is not going well for you right now in the different life situations listed above.
Tip #2: Write down your intentions for your 9 Life Situations
Thinking again in the above life situations, write down what you would like to be, do, or have related to each area. Don't filter your dreams, just write what comes from your heart. Remember, no dream is too big!
Tip #3: Get help with the details, and keep it simple!
Feng shui has been around for centuries. As times have changes, many different forms of feng shui have developed, ranging from simple to extremely complicated. I know if you're like me, that you probably want to keep things as simple as possible! Now that you have your intentions written down, what do you do with them? You get help with all of the details from the experts who know how to keep it simple.
